Deputy Superintending Archaeological Chemist in Archaeological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture.

Suitability of the post for PwBD:-
The vacancies are suitable for candidates belonging to the category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims, Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Deformity, and Spinal Injury without any neurological/limb dysfunction with disability i.e. One leg affected (R or L) (OL) or One arm affected (R or L) (OA) or One leg and One arm affected (OLA) or Leprosy Cured (LC) or Dwarfism (DW) or Acid Attack Victims (AAV), Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability and Mental Illness with disability i.e. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (M = Mild).
PAY SCALE:-
Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:-
(A) EDUCATIONAL:-
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry;
OR
Master’s Degree in Chemistry
(B) EXPERIENCE:-
For Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry Holders:- Three years experience in the use of analytical Instruments or Methods of Analysis of Organic or Inorganic materials from a recognized Scientific Institute or University
OR
For Master Degree in Chemistry Holders:- One year experience in the use of analytical Instruments or Methods of Analysis of Organic or Inorganic materials from a recognized Scientific Institute or University.
(C) DESIRABLE:-
One year’s experience in application of chemistry in heritage conservation.
HEADQUARTERS:-
New Delhi and liable to serve anywhere in India.
DUTIES:-
Planning, Execution and Supervision of Scientific Conservation and Preservation work of all types of Cultural Heritage under protection with Archaeological Survey of India. To carry out Scientific Studies and Research in this area for the development of appropriate Conservation method using convention and modern analytical tools.
OTHER DETAILS:-
The post is permanent. General Central Service Group- “A” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
Candidates selected for the post will, during the period of probation, be required to undergo training as per requirements of the job prescribed by the Archaeological Survey of India
